2017-present: Providing ongoing support to leading microbiome therapeutics company. Worked with the company as it has grown from a $5 million seed through series A and B raises to support a Phase 2 clinical trial with a proprietary therapeutic bacterial consortia aimed at preventing allergic disease. Support has included analysis and implementation of AWS infrastructure needs as well as analysis and retirement of legacy software systems and migration to Python-based metagenomic analysis.

2016-2017: Co-founder and principal software architect of platform designed to "game-ify" the workout experience. Provided full-stack development of react-based client application as well as development of java based backend application fronting a relational datastore. Backend API was exposed as AWS Lambda endpoints secured via JWT authentication.

2010-2016: Senior software engineer for leading book drop-ship company leveraging Amazon's print-on-demand infrastructure. Supported legacy mule-ESB based application for processing book interior and cover PDF files for print-ready capability. Supported 3rd party POD (print-on-demand) vendors for order fulfillment. Key member of team converting legacy mule-ESB to modern JBoss application. Developed ingestion platform for onboarding hundreds of thousands of open source books. Supported legacy on-premises Hadoop cluster while transitioning to a fully AWS S3/Glacier storage backend.

Developed platform for ingesting new content to grow catalog from ~6K to over 2 million books. Lead development of Oracle-based relational datastore. Provided 24/7 on-call support.
